What Did You Say??

So yesterday, Aubrey was talking about Halloween.  She was rattling off random things she wanted to be for Halloween.  "A toy!  A dog! A cupcake!"  Then she said, "I wanna be a bitch!"  My reply: "What!!!??  What did you say!?"  Aubrey answered (pointing to her toy bench), "a BENCH, Mom.  I said I wanted to be a bench."   Phew, glad she corrected her pronunciation on that one, hehe. :)

This week has been lots of fun!  My mom is up here for the week, and Aubrey LOVES being with Grandma!! It will be sad for Aubrey when she leaves, but they'll be back up in a few weeks for Bryan's graduation, so that's okay.

So here's some of Aubrey's cute sayings over the past couple of weeks:

We were driving home from camping, and Aubrey was practicing her sign language letters.  She randomly stuck up her middle finger, then paused and looked at it, then asked, "Mom, what letter is this?"  She kept waving around her middle finger..."Mom...why are you laughing?  What does this sign language mean?"

Last week Aubrey told me, "Mom, we should get a baby that doesn't spit. (pause) Yeah, put Austin in his crib and go buy a baby at the host-a-bull who won't spit!"

A couple weeks ago, after getting scolded, Aubrey folded her arms, walked away and said, "I'm gonna go pout!"

Here's Aubrey doing the "Statue of Liverty" (as she calls it).

...and I threw this pic in, just cause her hair is getting really long.  Cute!  I don't know when I'll ever cut it.  It would be easier if it was short, but I love her hair long!

Camping!

So, we just went on our second camping trip of the summer, and Aubrey had a blast!  She loves sleeping in the trailer and playing outside.  A few weeks ago, we went to Strawberry Bay, and this time we went up to the Uintas and just found a free spot to park the trailer.  It was beautiful up there, and nice that we didn't have to reserve a campsite or pay for one either.  It would be really rugged camping with a tent, but with a trailer, it's great! Anyway, we went there with Lincoln and Chris Anne, and Aubrey had much more fun having some playmates with her.  It will be nice when Austin is older and the two of them can play together.

Aubrey had lots of fun on the four wheeler.  Mathis , of course, only took her on really slow, short rides on flat dirt roads (no traffic either).  So, it wasn't anything super adventurous, but fun for a 3 year old!  On this ride, she fell asleep.  :) Cute!

Here's some pics of my happy little boy!  I love that little dimple!

The kiddos! (You like Wyatt's pink jacket? haha...his jacket got left home, so he got to wear Aubrey's pretty pink one all weekend).

...And just a couple pics at home, I thought I would throw in.  There's Aubrey being a cheese-ball as normal, while Austin wonders what's up with that big sister of his.  :)

He hasn't got to the chubby baby phase yet, but definitely getting bigger!  I bet he'll have some more rolls on those thighs in a couple months. :)

Fun on the Fourth!

We had a fun 4th of July weekend!  We did the same thing we do every year...parade, then Grandpa Moosman's birthday dinner at his house.  Aubrey of course had lots of fun at both! She loved getting candy at the parade, and this year, she didn't run out in the middle of the street.  Last year she kept trying to do that, and we just had to keep a close hold on her, but this year she knows better.  That's nice!
Austin enjoyed seeing new things too.  We didn't dare bring him to fireworks on the 3rd (Aubrey went with Mathis and Grandma and Grandpa Carlson).  Austin gets upset when there are too many people around.  I was sure the loud fireworks would make him scream.  I just love that little guy!  He's such a happy little baby, and when he's not happy, it's not hard to figure out what he needs.  If he's fussing, but not hungry, he's usually just just tired/overwhelmed and needs some cuddling to fall asleep.  I think it will be so fun to see how Aubrey and Austin's personalities are different.  It's so awesome how babies are born with their own personalities, and you can see aspects of them from the day they are born.  Aubrey was my curious baby.  She loved to see lots of things and be with lots of people. She's always been so outgoing and talkative.  Austin is my sensitive baby.  He seems to prefer low-key situations and LOVES to be held and cuddled all the time!  He already laughs more than Aubrey did, and it's sooo adorable.  He's happy and smiley most of the time!

Here's some pics from the 4th.  That's Aubrey at the parade.

Danielle (Mathis's cousin) and Austin!

Cindy and Aubs.

This is at Grandpa Moosman's house, with Brittany.  Aubrey ran around that yard for like an hour!  She was a ball of energy as normal!

Bryan came up to hang out with us.   It was fun having him there, and Aubrey was of course having a ball with her uncle!!  She loves him to pieces!!

Cute baby!

Bryan and Aubs watching the fireworks.  The whole street pooled their fireworks together, and lit them at the cul-de-sac, so there were A LOT of fireworks.  One of the neighbors also did a little magic show for all the kids.  It was really cute, and Aubrey really liked it!
